Three years since my last post

Wow... a lot has changed in three years.  On a whim, i decided to see if my blog was still up and running.  I found it!  I love a little facebook now and then, but I decided to get back to my blog.  I want to keep it so my children have a running record of what went on in their crazy, crazy world...and so I can keep a record so someday I will be able to accurately update the baby books.

In a nutshell...beckett was born 9/29/08.  He is amazing.  Such a kind, sweet baby boy.  So smart and a loving big brother.

Harper and Reese were born 14mos later on 12/17/09.  They are currently 6mos old and show more of their personalities everyday.  It's hard to tell them apart for everyone except their mom.  Harper wants to crawl more than anything and Reese is right behind her.

We moved back to NE in April of 2010.  In such an odd twist of fate, all the puzzle pieces fell into place and here we are.

More to come......

November

November has been a busy month so far. Jon turned 27 on November 7th and had a huge birthday bash downtown. His mom, aunts and cousin all flew in for the festivities. We also managed to get in quite a bit of shopping while they were here.

The annual Troshynski pie party has an extra twist this year. We are all wearing ugly Christmas sweaters. I went to Goodwill last Friday to find the winner. I did find a great sweater but the best part about my trip was finding these dishes. Recently I have become obsessed with roosters, this is ironic considering I'm scared to death of birds. I bought a set of 20 place settings for $150.00! This is a steal because they are vintage 1956 Metlox Pottery. I love them.

Last weekend was a Christmas filled weekend for us. Jason put up the lights outside and I did the tree. Jason and I have never had a "normal" Christmas. The first year our house was under construction and lat year we were in the process of moving. I was so excited to decorate. Here is the final product:

October

Great Dane's don't have a thick undercoat of fur like most big dogs so they don't really like cold weather. Gunnar got a new winter coat and LOVES it! We carved pumpkins...can you guess which one Gunnar did?

Parents Weekend

My parents came to Colorado in late October and spent a weekend with us. We toured the Budweiser Brewery and headed into the mountains.

Jody & Sam Holt

Jody is my partner at Alcon. Her and Sam had a beautiful wedding on October 20th. They got married right next to Mile High Stadium in a beautiful evening ceremony. This is a picture of Jody and her sister Holly. I was honored to be in this wedding...I wish I would have taken more pictures, but it was hard to juggle my wine glass and my camera!

It's been awhile

I'm sitting in the Billings, Montana airport with plenty of time to kill and the good thing about that is I can update this silly blog. I woke up to 6 inches of snow this morning and the only shoes I brought were 3 inch heels. This is a typical Amy situation. I'm trying to get back to Denver only to unpack, repack and get into the car and drive to Omaha. We have an action packed weekend that includes 2 Thanksgiving feasts, a Pie bakeoff and Sh*tty Door Prize Party...yes you read that right.

SDP as I refer to it is probably the craziest yearly tradition there is. Jason's friend Russ throws this party each year in Cedar Bluffs, NE. The attendance is well over 100. Everyone who attends is given a Sh*tty Door Prize. He puts so much time, thought and money into this party....it's hilarious. Russ is one heck of a party planner.

I have had a special request to post a picture of my furry four legged child, Gunnar.

The Rockies

On Monday, October 1st, Jason and I went to the Colorado Rockies game. We went with my manager Aaron, his wife Sunny, and my partner Jake. I don't follow baseball very close, but this game was a riot! It went 13 innings and we got home way past my bedtime. The Rockies are now in the Playoffs which is a huge deal for Denver. I might even have to buy a purple shirt. Here are some pictures from the game.
